At St Columba’s Primary School in Elwood, learning is driven by curiosity, connection and care. As an IB PYP school, we nurture young thinkers who ask questions, take action and see themselves as capable contributors to a changing world. Our commitment to innovation has been recognised nationally, with St Columba’s awarded The Educator’s 5-Star Innovative School honour two years in a row.
Innovation shines through our Discovery Lab and STEAM program, where students engage in hands-on experiences that build creativity, critical thinking and collaboration. From robotics and engineering to digital safety and environmental action, our learners explore real-world challenges with confidence and imagination.
Our strong sense of community is central to who we are. We work closely with local kinders, businesses and environmental organisations, and we proudly partner with Sacred Heart Mission through regular intergenerational visits. These connections help students develop empathy, respect and an understanding of their role in the wider world.
Families are welcomed as active partners in school life, contributing to events, celebrations and our collective vision.
St Columba’s is a place where innovation meets heart—and where every child is empowered to shine.
We care for our planet. As a 5-Star Resource Smart School, we are doing our bit to make the world a better place.
We offer a vibrant specialist program including Mandarin, performing and visual arts, physical education, kitchen garden and music.
We welcome you and your child to come and see our unique little school with the big heart in action. Register for an open day (See below) or private tour.
