About our school
Nestled in the leafy suburb of Mount Waverley, Avila College is a ¶¶ÒõÆƽâ secondary school for girls, offering a vibrant and supportive environment where students are encouraged to thrive. Established in 1965, the College has a proud heritage of academic excellence, social justice and student empowerment. Avila is committed to nurturing the whole person, with a focus on developing confident, compassionate, and capable young women who are inspired to make a positive difference in the world.
With state-of-the-art facilities and a broad range of academic pathways, students are provided with rich opportunities to explore their interests and achieve their personal best. A wide selection of co-curricular activities, including performing arts, sport and leadership programs, complement a structured Wellbeing for Learning framework, helping students build resilience and take ownership of their educational journey.
A dynamic, inclusive and faith-filled learning community, Avila College is inspired by the charism of the Presentation Sisters and the teachings of St Teresa of Avila. We encourage students and families to Journey with Us and embrace all that an Avila education offers.
